Serving sustainable scoops at The Ice Box
The Ice Box has been a Brooklyn, Connecticut institution for over 40 years. The ice cream parlor opened in 1978 in a renovated gas station, where it’s still located to this day. They use Vegware as part of their sustainability plan.
US Airports Going Green Conference diverts food scraps from landfill
Hosting hundreds of people over four days in Atlanta, the 2018 AGG conference organisers prioritised sustainability in all it did, including its foodservice operations. Vegware’s US-based Zero Waste Director prepared a zero waste plan and oversaw a full team of partners to support in diverting food scraps, used Vegware, and unused food safe for human consumption – away from landfill and to places where it can best help the local community.
